Save the Mural |
During their meeting on August 7, 2023, the Okefenokee Regional Library Board of Trustees passed a new Display and Exhibits policy. The new policy prohibits materials "containing symbols which promote religious, political, or sex-based ideology."
A small group of religious extremists are wanting the mural removed based on this vague policy. The mural itself does not promote anything other than libraries being for everyone.
